IF IT IS AN EMERGENCY PLEASE CALL 000
Our hours of operation are:
Outside of the above hours, you should consult your regular GP. We at PAHMS are here to support your regular GP for when they are not available, and in no way replace your regular GP. Our services are available to patients whose medical condition cannot wait for next in-hours period, and needs to be seen and treatment started during after-hours period.
Our call centre starts taking patient bookings at 4:00pm on weekdays, 10:00am on Saturdays, and 24 hours on Sundays and Public holidays.
Our Doctors provide home visits for medical conditions that would otherwise be treated by your own GP during normal business hours. After a visit by one of our Locum Doctors your GP will receive all treatment notes and relevant information. Follow-ups and ongoing medical treatment can then be conducted by your regular GP.
When calling, please make sure to have your Medicare card on-hand. On making a booking, one of our friendly operators will assign you a Locum Doctor in or around your area. You will receive a call from the Doctor prior to their visit, where they will conduct a phone triage and provide any relevant instructions depending on your particular condition. You will also be informed about when the Locum Doctor will be approximately available to visit.
It’s important to note that we prioritise our patients depending on a number of factors, including but not limited to their medical condition and the area in which the Locum Doctor is operating. If you feel as though your condition is deteriorating, please inform us as soon as possible by calling the call centre again. We can then advise you on the appropriate course of action to take.
Our Perth after hours Doctors carry both a supply of emergency medicines and a majority of normally prescribed medicines. These can be administered when necessary either in the case of an emergency, or as an initial dose of medication that the patient can then fill a prescription for in the morning.
We will inform you immediately if there is any unforeseen delay.
In case of a medical emergency, please dial 000.
